Our client is a distribution company with over 100 locations in the US and Canada. Our client has an opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), with an emphasis on providing a strategic partnership to support the business needs of leadership in one or more assigned functional areas regarding talent management matters, including performance and change management, recruiting, learning and development, employee relations, compensation, conflict management, developing HR strategies and leading due diligence and integration efforts for their assigned business unit on all M&A activity.


The successful candidate will a passion for:

  • Identifying and diagnosing problems to drive solutions and alignment with culture, values and business needs
  • Being a "go to" resource for assessing and recommending organizational initiatives that address the evolving needs of the business, while leading programs that will result in change
  • Developing, fostering and maintaining strong, productive working relationships
  • Having a hand in all facets of the business by building and maintaining an understanding of business strategy, key drivers and current issues to coach and influence leaders
  • Guiding leaders and associates through performance, change management and organizational design initiatives
  • Collaborating with leaders to acquire and develop top talent from within the organization
  • Understanding how human capital metrics play an integral part in our HR strategy and developing solutions based on those metrics to drive business goals and objectives
  • Working 1-on-1 with associates to meet needs and make a difference
  • Assessing associate training and development needs based on business strategy in order to help close gaps between current and future skill sets
  • Staying connected. Networking through all channels to be engaged and current in the HR/Business community


Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or equivalent experience required

 MBA preferred, but not required

 PHR or SPHR preferred, but not required



Five to ten years of relevant HR experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist or HR Manager



Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations in multi-states

 Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products

 Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication and analytical skills

Strong inter-personal skills and proven abilities to be a team player in order to work in cross-functional teams, across multiple departments and levels of the organization

 Proven ability to work independently and autonomously in a fast paced, dynamic environment
